English for Musicians Program Overview

English for Musicians is an innovative program that gives international musicians the opportunity to learn English for advanced studies in music while continuing to improve as musicians by studying and performing with MSU music professors. This program combines music-specific terminology with the advanced reading, writing, and research skills needed to pursue a graduate degree or undergraduate degree in music.

When successfully passed, this program waives the TOEFL exam! Find out what we are all about!

English for Musicians Coordinator Bio - Dr. Amy Muchnick

 Dr. Amy Muchnick is currently Professor of Music and Coordinator of the English for Musicians program at Missouri State University. As violist and conductor, Dr. Muchnick has traveled extensively to Asia, South America and Europe performing concerts, conducting orchestras and giving master classes to young artists. In 2013, Dr. Muchnick, in cooperation with the English Language Institute co-founded the English for Musicians program. Students from all over the world have achieved great success as young artists and scholars after completing this one-of-a-kind program.
